  • Laura was excellent, from my first phone call she took the time to understand my goals, assess my strengths and limitations, and tailor a program that was both effective and sustainable.
I have a structured program that is easy to stick to and motivates me at the same time. I saw results in my mobility within a few weeks.
I highly recommend Laura as she will take the time to understand your needs before jumping into an exercise program.

  • Fast tracked recovery and improved performance.
Injured my hip & groin, Doctors said to wait it out for 7+ weeks and prescribed pain meds however meds only help mask the pain. These guys did an in-depth assessment and developed a personalised rehab program. Saw major improvements in range of motion on the first visitation. Went from struggling to get out of bed and returning to combat sports in 4 weeks. They’ve helped identify what exercises I’ll need to incorporate to improve both my performance and prevent future injuries. Now feeling stronger than i was prior to injury. Thanks for the help!

  • I had some basic physio exercises to do, then met An from Chronic Gains who added a few more that really made a difference.
A very positive person he is. I feel stronger & more stable with a few new moves to help my body pains.
You can feel hopeless, lost & depressed in pain, but to get some experienced guidance & a path to move forward on can make all the difference.
    Thank you.

  • Laura assisted me with a few problem areas left over from the military doing its best to break me. The work I have done with Laura has markedly improved my strength and well being in many areas from my core to my wobbly ankles. Laura is extremely knowledgeable and has given me advise on the best and correct ways to continue with my exercise regime moving forward. I would highly recommend Laura based on as mentioned her knowledge and experience alone and her good humour and patience.

  • An has been amazing in helping me recover from a volleyball injury and get back on the court. An designed a personalised program to strengthen my ankles and improve my overall fitness. The sessions were effective and helped me reach my goals quickly. I highly recommend Chronic Gains for anyone looking for an experienced and supportive exercise physiologist.

  • I came to see An and Laura under workers compensation for my shoulder injury and when I first started I was in a lot of pain and had a lot of cracks in the shoulder. After doing strengthening and exercises for my shoulder my pain is gone and the cracks are gone (like WD40). I saw major improvements from here, especially after doing physiotherapy which was good but I didn’t need to do it for so long.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQS

Conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, chronic pain, neurological conditions, and post-surgery recovery can all be managed with Exercise Physiology. Speak to our team to find out how we can help you.

An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a specialist in using exercise as medicine to prevent, manage, and treat a wide range of health conditions and injuries. Unlike a Physiotherapist, who primarily focuses on hands-on treatment for acute injuries and pain relief, an EP takes a long-term, evidence-based approach to rehabilitation and performance.

EPs design tailored exercise programs to improve strength, mobility, and overall function, helping clients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and enhance athletic performance. Whether it’s rehabilitating after an injury, supporting NDIS participants, or optimising health and well-being, an EP empowers individuals with the tools to build resilience and achieve lasting results through movement.

The frequency of sessions depends on your individual goals and needs. For injury recovery or chronic condition management, you might start with weekly sessions and taper off as progress is made. Get in touch with our friendly team today to book a free phone consultation.

No, you don’t need a referral to see an Exercise Physiologist unless you plan to use Medicare or other government schemes. However, a referral from your doctor can help tailor your treatment plan.

Wear comfortable clothes that is suited for active movement.
Bring any relevant medical reports or scans (e.g. X-rays or MRIs), and a list of medications if applicable.
